I’m in a warm, calm spell of life
A welcome change from the pain and strife
Where to next I haven’t a clue
It’s an unusual rhythm to get used to
What if this is a time to be still
No bump or bend or hill
A season to reflect and pause
To rest and prepare for the next big cause
My comfort zone is knowing and doing
But the next me is still accruing
So many constructs no longer relevant
2020 gifted us a precedent
This ‘Indian Summer’ is not the destination
More a pitstop for crucial calibration
You see, creativity is calling
And being me-ier is dawning
